Rochelle Bilow in the studio!

Forgive me. I am catching up on a ton of work I have done and finally getting some of the pictures to prove it, lol

One of my favorite appointments this year has been with Rochelle Bilow. She called upon me to make her face "camera ready" for some shots to be used in The Post Standard for her food column. I warned her an early morning appointment in my studio means my husband, 4 yr old daughter and 2 dogs are all on the premises. She was all for it.

I have read Rochelle's work ( I love to read!) and she has such a talent for making the food experience come to life through mere words! So I was honored (&excited) to have her choose me for this occasion.
Rochelle is so bubbly and likable! It was like having an old friend come over instead of a new client.
If you have experienced her writing you can find her Wednesdays in The Post Standard. And a big congratulations is in order. She was recently named Finger Lakes Wine and Food Ambassador!
They couldn't have picked a better person!

Lindsay's Winter Wonderland Wedding Makeup

Lindsay contacted me with a short planning period for her December wedding, She had about 2 months. Lucky for Lindsay she was able to get some of the best vendors in the wedding business. Her location for hosting her pre wedding beauty services was Mirbeau Spa. She managed to get the suite, which provided plenty of space for her large bridal party to relax and have their makeup artist service, as well as hair service.
To accommodate such a large bridal party I enlisted my assistant Stephanie to help prep the bridal party and I could concentrate on the beauty and design aspect. Lindsay loved the airbrush makeup and false lashes!
Lindsay booked the amazing photography of Meghan Thomas . Thanks to Meg for the amazing photos!

 Hair styling by Tiffany Dewald

After the morning prep of hair and makeup, the group headed over to The Lodge at Welsh Allyn. Both ceremony and reception were held in the gorgeous Skaneateles location. So happy I could be a part of Lindsay's day!

Lilipad Creation's launches the Holly Makeup Bag

Looks like I've "made it"! A makeup bag named after me!
Beth at Lilipad Creations consulted with me on what the perfect makeup bag would look like. Not too big, but not so small that you can't fit the essentials. This is what she came up with. I love!
The bag can be customized in color for your own personal touch. It will look great with some of her other brilliant (and totally affordable) handbags! I have my own personal collection that continues to grow. I love supporting a local designer and the local economy. And having an excuse to shop!
The bag launches today!

New Artist added to the A-List Artistry team!

After turning away countless brides for 2011 because I was already booked, I decided it was time to bring on another airbrush artist to keep my brides happy and beautiful! Now anyone who knows me knows I am picky about who I work with. I have been looking for a while and just hadn't find someone that was the total package. I wanted someone that obviously can do amazing makeup. But I needed so much more. I needed a professional. Someone that can look, act and perform as a pro.

I volunteered to be a makeup artist along with my assistant Stephanie for the Breakfast At Tiffany's fundraiser benefiting Hope for Heather. Frieda Weeks, the founder of Hope for Heather, was a colleague in the makeup counter world. She started the foundation after loosing her daughter to cancer several years ago.

I was delighted when I got to the makeup room to see an another old colleague, Jessica Puccia. We worked at rival counters for several years and always had a mutual respect for each other. After I left MAC we had lost touch. She was exactly what I was looking for!

Jessica also has a little one named Gigi! My own Gigi thinks that is hilarious. Thanks Caitlyn Bom Photography for this beautiful shot of my new two favorite girls! And welcome to the team Jessica! Adding Jessica has opened a lot of dates for 2011. Contact for availability!
